Bollywood couple Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani were seen at a polling booth in Maharashtra on Wednesday as they arrived to cast their vote in the ongoing assembly elections. Speaking to the media after casting their votes, the couple encouraged citizens to exercise their democratic rights. The couple told the media, “Please vote. It is very important. We cannot sit and complain if we do not vote. It is our responsibility as citizens. According to the Election Commission of India, 32.18 percent voting was recorded till 1 pm in the single-phase assembly elections in Maharashtra.

Among all the districts in Maharashtra, Mumbai City district recorded the lowest turnout of 27.73 per cent till 1 pm, while Naxal-hit Gadchiroli district recorded the highest of 50.89 per cent.
